Twitter Adds Bitcoin Emoji, Will Unicode Follow?

bitcoin investment

If you have spent any time on Twitter today there’s a good chance you’ll now have seen the new Bitcoin emoji which presents itself when you use the hashtag #Bitcoin. Added today, the 2nd Feb 2020, it was initially tweeted by @jack – Jack Dorsey, the CEO of Twitter, who also tagged unicode in the same tweet to imply they should do the same.

Since then the #Bitcoin has been tweeted by numerous crypto personalities including Justin Sun, the founder of Tron (TRX), Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao and the ever droll Dan Dark Pill (@dandarkpill), to name just a few. Now numerous other altcoin accounts are asking for an emoji to be added to present their owns crypto brands. However, whether or not this will happen for any of the legions of altcoins is probably unlikely in the near future.
