Monero, NEM, NEO, Lisk & Verge Are All Coming to the Abra Cryptocurrency Wallet & Exchange

Five new altcoins will be available to Abra users worldwide in the coming days, bringing the total number of supported cryptocurrencies to 25.

Having each of the coins supported by Abra increases their accessibility immensely as Abra supports 50 fiat currencies, meaning that every coin listed gains massive global exposure. It is also the first and only service that combines cryptocurrency wallet functionality with a fully-fledged internal exchange.

Users can exchange assets across any currency – crypto or fiat – and store them easily and securely directly in the Abra app. The service also boasts the ability to trade with no exchange transaction fees and free deposits, which must be either made in Bitcoin, using a US bank account or an American Express card.

Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Abra, Bill Barhydt, had this to say of the recent additions:

By adding the five new cryptocurrencies to the already robust list of coins that Abra supports, we are continuing to offer exposure to assets that have traditionally been difficult to access in a simple and secure way. The demand from our users for additional altcoins has been incredibly high, and our goal is to continue adding more cryptocurrency options and ultimately democratize access to financial services and all asset classes.”

Even the lead developer of Monero, Riccardo “fluffypony” Spagni, weighed in on his coins inclusion:

The increased liquidity and awareness for Monero that the Abra service will generate is really an exciting development for the Monero community,”
