Ripple (XRP) Coming to the Revolut App Within Days

International payment network, Revolut, has confirmed that Ripple’s native token, XRP, will be added to its platform within the week.

Revolut is a digital banking alternative that seeks to bridge the gap between cryptocurrencies and the traditional banking world by enabling users to directly link their bank accounts with their digital assets. It currently only supports Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, but with the addition of XRP support, it will mean that XRP holders can exchange freely between any supported cryptocurrencies using just the Revolut app.

Users can then convert their cryptocurrency funds into any of the 25 supported fiat currencies and spend them freely using official Mastercard and Visa prepaid debit cards. They can also send free international money transfers and use their funds as they please, anywhere in the world, with no extra fees.

The app also enables the rounding-up of day-to-day purchases to the nearest dollar, investing the remainder into their chosen cryptocurrency token.

Revolut’s internal system will be expanded specifically for use with the XRP token, unlike other international payment services which incorporates the underlying Ripple blockchain technology, rather than the cryptocurrency itself.
