TravelByBit Offers Chance To Dine With Crypto Royalty
There are all sorts of individuals in the business world who are well aware of a charity auction where a lunch with Warren Buffett, arguably the most famous investor of all time. The lunch occurs every year, and is auctioned off for millions. In fact, this year, an anonymous individual bid over $3 million to grab lunch with Buffett at the famed steakhouse Smith and Wollensky in New York City. The auction has raised millions for a San Francisco charity called Glide, that helps homeless in the area.
It appears as though the trend has entered the cryptocurrency community, although there is no need to spend millions in order to eat with a revered figure in the cryptocurrency space. In fact, for less than $200, you can eat with none other than Bitcoin Core developer Jimmy Song.
Song describes himself as an “ Bitcoin educator, developer, and entrepreneur” on his Twitter bio, and his account boasts well over 100,000 followers, where he speaks about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency often. He also has written a book that will be releasing next year, as well.
Travelbit tweeted about the event on its official account, encouraging those interested to “book your flights and accommodation to this event with travelbybit”. The tweet also mentioned that there is a discount for those who are Blockchain Australia members. You can find the tweet below:

The dinner will be a “Carnivory Dinner” of Brazilian BBQ dinner at a restaurant named Braza in Sydney, and apparently “will include businesses, policy makers, and long time bitcoin community members”. The money raised will go to the nonprofit Blockchain Australia. The event will take place on the evening of December 5th, 2018 and last for several hours, beginning at 7 PM. The ticket not only covers the food, but also a “generous service of beer and wine”, as well. This apparently is part of Jimmy Song’s “whirlwind tour of Australia”.
