TapJets announces plans to add Ripple (XRP) and Litecoin (LTC) payment options but Verge (XVG) misses out (for now)
“Personal jet service” TapJets has announced that it is proceeding with plans to integrate Litecoin and Ripple as payment options. Though CEO Eugene Kesselman saluted the Verge community, XVG will not be added this time round, leaving Pornhub’s XVG-compensated performers without the option to spend their cryptocurrency on jet hire, at least for now.
TapJets says that its mission is to “leverage technology and disrupt/innovate the way people book private jet travel.” With this in mind it was “the first company to offer instant booking with Bitcoin”. After adding Ethereum too it decided to consult its community on which altcoins it should add next.
Our #cryptocurrency friends asked for their project to be included in our payment methods. Our CEO @EugeneKesselman promised a quick poll from the product team so here it is #XVG vs #XRP vs #LTC what should be our next move #FLYTAPJETS

The clear front-runners were Ripple (XRP), Litecoin (LTC) and Verge (XVG), all cryptocurrencies with dedicated and enthusiastic community followings.
As a result of the poll, TapJets has decided to proceed with technical evaluations of Litecoin and Ripple, including API and exchange transaction testing, with results expected by the end of the month. The goal is to add the new payment options by June 1st, though this will “depend on how agile development teams of XRP/LTC are to our requests.”
The Charlie Lee Effect
Of the Litecoin and Ripple teams, it is the former which seems more inclined to pursue this opportunity. Kesselman says that, “we have been in contact with LTC team already and will be reaching out to XRP team on Monday.”
Litecoin co-founder Charlie Lee has personally lobbied TapJets on the feasibility of a Litecoin payment option:

He has also assured them that the June 1st target is attainable.

Saluting the VergeFam
Though TapJets will not be proceeding with a Verge payment option at this stage, Kesselman made a point of saluting the cryptocurrency, saying it has “a strong following, great feedback, and lots of potentials.” He added that the VergeFam had “forced us to think about significant changes to UX so that additional coins can be added in the future without compromising a checkout experience.”
Kesselman also vowed that his company “will be working on another viable altcoin addition to this new UX, and Verge is on top of my list.”
XVG-paid porn performers have that to look forward to, at least.
